CBR Financial Congress to address long-term growth

The Bank of Russia has released the business programme for its upcoming Financial Congress, scheduled for 1–3 July 2026 in St Petersburg. Governor Elvira Nabiullina will participate in the opening plenary session, which will discuss long-term economic growth.

Growth and monetary policy in focus

The Financial Congress opens with Governor Elvira Nabiullina leading a plenary session on 'Focusing on long-term growth.'

Discussions will cover the economy's return to balanced growth and its response to external changes.

This follows tight monetary policy that slowed inflation to five-year lows, enabling consistent key rate reductions.

Technology and regulation on the agenda

First Deputy Governor Vladimir Chistyukhin will moderate a session on technology-driven changes in the financial market.

The Congress further features 21 panel sessions, addressing topics such as monetary policy, financial stability, banking regulation, FinTech, and the global agenda.
