Four macroprudential review dates scheduled for 2027
The Bank of Russia has released its macroprudential policy calendar for 2027, establishing four quarterly review meetings for the Board of Directors. The sessions will take place on January 29, April 30, July 30, and October 29.
Four quarterly policy reviews
The Bank of Russia published the schedule of Board of Directors meetings dedicated to macroprudential policy issues for 2027.
Under the announced timetable, the board will convene once per quarter to assess financial system risks and determine macroprudential measures.
The four scheduled decision dates are January 29, April 30, July 30, and October 29, 2027.
Each session will conclude with the release of an official press statement detailing the adopted regulatory and capital buffer decisions.
The fixed calendar establishes the timeline for potential adjustments to risk weights, macroprudential limits, and sectoral borrower buffers across Russian lending institutions throughout the 2027 cycle.
Preceding schedule and reporting cadence
The release also outlines the preceding 2026 schedule, which features meetings on January 30, April 29, July 24, and October 28. In addition to quarterly policy reviews, the 2026 calendar incorporates two editions of the Financial Stability Review.
Issue No. 1 covering the fourth quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026 is slated for June 1, 2026, accompanied by a press conference.
Issue No. 2 covering the middle quarters is scheduled for publication on November 26, 2026.
Predictability over surprise
The publication offers clear operational predictability for banks planning balance sheet adjustments.
Locking in decision dates well in advance minimizes administrative friction across the financial sector.
For market participants, this update represents necessary housekeeping rather than a substantive policy shift.
