Egor Kozlov appointed Head of Risk Analysis Service
The Bank of Russia has appointed Egor Kozlov as Head of the Risk Analysis Service, effective 18 August 2026. Kozlov has worked at the central bank for over 16 years, previously serving as Deputy Head of the service.
A sixteen-year central bank career
By order of the Bank of Russia Governor, Egor Kozlov assumes leadership of the Risk Analysis Service on 18 August 2026.
Kozlov brings extensive institutional experience to the executive position, having served at the Russian central bank for more than 16 years.
His career within the organization began in 2010, when he joined as a Category 1 Economist in the Department of Banking Regulation and Supervision.
Over the subsequent decade and a half, he rose through various operational and analytical roles, eventually becoming the Deputy Head of the Risk Analysis Service prior to his current appointment to lead the entire unit.
Internal continuity in supervisory risk
The appointment reflects organizational continuity within the Bank of Russia's supervisory framework.
Having progressed from entry-level economics roles in banking regulation and supervision to senior leadership, Kozlov has spent his entire central banking tenure focused on financial system risk assessment.
The Risk Analysis Service monitors banking sector stability, evaluating institutional balance sheets and systemic vulnerabilities.
Kozlov's transition from Deputy Head to Head takes effect on 18 August 2026.
