Payment system regular session ends at 21:00 on October 31
The Bank of Russia Payment System will run its regular session from 01:00 to 21:00 Moscow time on October 31, 2026. The faster payments service will continue operating around the clock.
Settlement runs from 20:00
The Bank of Russia sets out three sessions for its payment system on October 31, 2026: preliminary, regular and final.
The preliminary session runs from 00:00 to 01:00 Moscow time.
The regular session then runs from 01:00 to 21:00, with separate standard and settlement periods.
The standard period starts at 01:00 and ends at 20:00. The settlement period follows from 20:00 to 21:00, forming the last hour of the regular session.
The final session begins at 21:00 and ends no later than 22:00. All session times in the schedule are Moscow time.
The final session therefore has a latest closing time rather than a fixed end time.
Faster payments remain available 24/7
The faster payments service retains its existing operating period under the rules of the Bank of Russia Payment System: 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The notice lists this service separately from the preliminary, regular and final sessions.
Its operating period does not change for October 31, 2026.
The scheduled end of the regular session at 21:00 and the final session's latest closing time of 22:00 do not alter that round-the-clock operation.
