Financial Leaders Programme opens 2027 applications on October 15
Applications for the Hong Kong Academy of Finance’s 2027 Financial Leaders Programme open on October 15, 2026, and close on December 4. The part-time programme targets senior financial executives approximately one to two levels below CEO.
A pathway below the CEO
The Hong Kong Academy of Finance (AoF) announced on October 14, 2026, that applications for its 2027 Financial Leaders Programme (FLP) would open the following day.
Applications will be accepted through December 4, 2026.
The part-time programme targets high-potential senior financial executives from diverse backgrounds, approximately one to two levels below the CEO position.
Participants can engage directly with distinguished global and local leaders across different sectors and expand their cross-sector professional networks.

More than 100 future leaders
Since its launch in 2022, the FLP has cultivated a community of more than 100 future financial leaders, supported by Hong Kong’s financial regulators and participating institutions.
Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and AoF Chairman, encouraged senior executives to join or nominate promising candidates.
He emphasized long-term vision, an innovative mindset and robust expertise to uphold Hong Kong’s status as an international financial centre.
Leadership beyond technical expertise
The programme places strategic thinking alongside professional expertise.
Its cross-sector dialogues and networks support that focus amid changing macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions.
The intake continues a leadership development effort launched in 2022.
