Zhu Hexin discusses regional outlook at ASEAN+3 meeting
Zhu Hexin, Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China, attended the ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in Uzbekistan on May 3. Discussions covered the regional economic outlook, financial initiatives, and payment system cooperation.
Economic outlook and financial initiatives
Zhu Hexin, Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China, attended the ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in Uzbekistan on May 3. Key discussions included the economic impact of the Middle East conflict on global and regional outlooks.
Participants also addressed the enhancement of the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralization (CMIM) and the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO).
Cooperation on payment systems
Beyond the main meeting, Zhu Hexin participated in the inaugural ASEAN+3 Central Bank Dialogue.
During this dialogue, views were exchanged with other parties regarding cooperation on regional payment systems.
