Business fast-payment limit set to rise to ₽30 million
The Bank of Russia proposes raising the Faster Payments System limit for businesses to ₽30 million per payment. The draft also covers payments to Russia's budget system; consultation closes on November 12, 2026.
₽30 million per payment
The Bank of Russia has put a draft ordinance out for public consultation to increase the Faster Payments System transfer limit for businesses to ₽30 million per payment.
The proposed limit covers settlements between legal entities as well as transfers by individuals and legal entities to the budget system of the Russian Federation.
Its scope therefore extends beyond payments between businesses to include payments to the budget by both individuals and businesses.
The central bank invites market participants to submit feedback through November 12, 2026.
The announcement presents the higher limit as a proposed change under consultation, rather than an increase already in force.
Faster turnover and budget transfers
The central bank says the higher limit will help businesses structure their operations more effectively and accelerate the turnover of funds.
It also links the proposal to more convenient and faster budget payments for individuals, businesses and the Federal Treasury.
The stated rationale combines operational benefits for businesses with improvements to budget transfers.
The announcement does not specify the current limit or an effective date for the proposed increase.
A proposal, not implementation
The proposal covers both business settlements and budget transfers.
The ₽30 million threshold applies per payment, not as a stated aggregate allowance.
Consultation remains open, and the announcement sets no implementation date.
