Back-to-back podium finish in Prague
The Czech National Bank (CNB) ranked second in the Pluxee Employer of the Year 2026 competition for Prague-based organisations with up to 5,000 employees, marking its second consecutive year among the city's top employers.
The assessment evaluates human resources management using the PricewaterhouseCoopers Saratoga methodology, tracking institutional investment in employee development and workforce stability.
“The award demonstrates that even in the highly specialised environment of central banking, it is possible to create, over the long term, a workplace where people have room to grow professionally,” Miroslav Řehák, Director of the Human Resources Division, noted regarding the 2026 results.
Automation and benefits beyond the trading floor
Internal employee conditions at the central bank include five weeks of annual leave, pension scheme contributions, flexible working arrangements and a Cafeteria benefits system alongside domestic and international training programmes.
In addition, the central bank leverages artificial intelligence and modern technologies via its CNB Lab innovation hub.
The initiative automates routine operational workflows to allow specialist staff greater capacity for high-value analytical tasks.
Essential prestige in a tight talent market
Central banks face tough competition from commercial lenders and tech firms for analytical talent.
Strong workplace rankings and automation help the institution attract specialists without matching private-sector pay.
While HR awards carry no policy significance, securing top-tier staff is essential for institutional competence.
