Fit and proper applications now require billing details

Applicants must provide invoicing details for all fit and proper assessments from October 23, 2026. De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) announced the requirement on October 26 to help assessment-fee invoices reach the correct recipient faster.

Billing details enter every application

All application forms for fit and proper assessments require applicants to provide invoice details as of October 23, 2026.

The information concerns the fee charged for the assessment.

Applicants can find the requested fields in the billing information section of the application form.

DNB said the requirement will improve its invoicing process by allowing invoices to reach the correct recipient more quickly.

The notice, published on October 26, applies to all fit and proper assessment application forms, rather than identifying a particular form or institution type.

DNB directs applicants to its fit and proper assessments webpage for further information.

November session offers further guidance

The page also links to an information session about fit and proper assessments, announced on October 12, 2026.

DNB will hold the in-person session on November 5, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m.

CET.

The session will take place in Dutch, but participants may ask questions in English.

The invoicing notice appears among supervisory news linked to banks, electronic money institutions, insurers, payment institutions, pension funds and premium pension institutions.

A billing requirement, not assessment criteria

The stated change concerns invoice information collected through application forms.

DNB gives faster delivery to the correct recipient as its reason for the requirement.

The notice does not announce changes to assessment criteria or specify a new fee amount.
